Dems continue insanity at DNC meeting to select leadership
Our take: The recent presidential election served as a stinging rebuke of many of the far left policies that a loud but tiny fragment of society has pushed the past several years. Racial quotas, malleable genders, and injecting race and gender into every thing possible left a sour taste in most Americans’ mouths.
The Republicans swept the White House, House, and Senate largely by saying we are going back to common sense. Most people would heed this as a wakeup call and inspect their approach if they wanted to start the comeback to power so they could implement the ideas they think would best benefit the country.
Instead, Democrat leadership said “Hold my beer” this weekend. Outgoing chairman Jamie Harrison started to explain the DNC rules around “gender balance” for it’s vice-chair position like this: “The rules specify that when we have a gender-nonbinary candidate or officer, the nonbinary individual is counted as neither male nor female, and the remaining six officers must be gender balanced,” Harrison announced. What?
Here is a tip. Don’t look at gender when picking positions. Also, don’t look at skin color, religion, or sexual orientation. Pick the right people for jobs regardless of these characteristics that no one can change.
If you are not a fan of the Democrats (most are not, a recent poll showed Democrats were viewed favorably by just 31% of Americans), this should bring you peace of mind. You won’t have to worry about them regaining power any time soon if they continue this virtue signaling nonsense.

Tone deaf Vogue article slights First Lady photo shoot
Our take: The fashion magazine Vogue has long done a feature on the first lady at some point during the President’s tenure. Curiously, they did not feature Melania Trump during the first Trump administration despite Mrs. Trump literally being a model in her previous life.
The White House has released a portrait of Mrs. Trump, dressed in a tuxedo and posing with her hands on the top of a desk with the Washington Monument in the background. Vogue promptly shaded the photo, stating:
“Indeed, Trump looked more like she was guest starring on an episode of The Apprentice than assuming the role of first lady of the United States,” the outlet wrote before comparing her outfit to a magician’s uniform.
“It’s perhaps unsurprising that a woman who lived in a gold-encrusted penthouse, whose fame is so intertwined with a reality television empire, would refuse to abandon theatrics—even when faced with 248 years of tradition,” the article continued.
Mean Girl much? We don’t have a clue how the relationship works between the President and the First Lady. We do know she was a former fashion model, is fluent in 5 languages, and appears to have raised a pretty accomplished son, Barron, who is now in college.
We find it super hypocritical that a magazine that runs articles that talk about attending sex parties, gives blowjob tips to their readers in the teen version of their fish wrap, and tried to sell us on Jill Biden being “The First Lady for All of Us” would trash Mrs. Trump.
Stay in your lane Vogue. When we need to know what to wear to the crawfish boil or how to have more mindful intercourse, we will hit you up.

Woman who changed her life by building her own businesses shares advice
Our take: We live in a much different world than we did even 15 years ago. As technology has become integral to almost every part of our life, many traditional ideas have faded into obscurity.
One such idea is to find a stable job with a good company and build a career there. Many companies, especially larder ones, have publicly stated they care about shareholder value, and shareholder value only. Gone are the days where companies stood behind their employees, cutting off benefits like pensions and health insurance, and laying off workers by the thousands to “create efficiencies” and “streamline operations”.
Some of this behavior by companies is unavoidable in some circumstances. That said, you don’t want to be one of the people left without a chair when the music stops.
Many people today look to either supplement their income or go out on their own by starting a business on the side, and growing it to the point they can work for themselves.
To that end, we found the article we included the hyperlink to interesting. A woman who started a business on the side and grew it to the point it replaced her income shares her experience, as well as some tips for those who are considering a similar path. If you are such a person, there is good stuff in the article.

TIP OF THE DAY
Focus on keystone habits first, and they will have a positive impact on the rest of your life. Keystone habits are habits that impact multiple areas of your life. Nutrition, sleep, and exercise are huge keystone habits. If you focus on getting those right, it becomes much easier to work on smaller habits.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
“Eighty percent of life’s satisfaction comes from meaningful relationships.” - Brian Tracy
