Former AG Barr slams activist judge for usurping Presidential authority with ruling
Our take: There is no shortage of controversy surrounding the Trump presidency. While some of it may be justified, some of it seems performative and manufactured by those who hate Trump and will do anything they can to slow down his progress.
Flying out gang members who are in the country illegally shouldn’t be controversial, but leave it to an activist federal judge to make it so. Bill Barr, the former US Attorney General, weighed in on this during an interview this week.
"There’s a pattern whereby these district court judges are trying to usurp the responsibility of the president in the national security area," Barr said Tuesday on "America’s Newsroom."
"The president is absolutely right to be frustrated and concerned about the way the courts are handling this."
Barr’s comments follow U.S. District Judge James Boasberg’s decision to halt the deportation of individuals alleged to be gang members, citing due process concerns. Boasberg also ordered the government to return planes carrying migrants who had already been deported.
According to Barr, the ruling goes beyond the judge’s authority and interferes with the president’s constitutional powers.
"The Constitution gives the president the power to make the judgments about how we deal with foreign nationals when we are animated by national security concerns," said Barr, who served as Trump's attorney general in 2019 and 2020.
"It’s his call, not a district court judge’s call."
This seems pretty straightforward to us. If Judge Boasberg wants to make these decisions, he should get himself elected President. Until then, he should stick to making rulings on laws and issues he actually has jurisdiction over. It amazes us how little accountability a judge has when it is proven they clearly overstepped their authority. This is a good example to illustrate the problem to the American people.

Attention whore Crockett mocks Texas governor in wheelchair
Our take: Jasmine Crockett is a Congresswoman representing Houston, Texas. We only know a few things about her at this point.
One, she has no clue how to put on fake eyelashes. She always looks like someone just woke her up and shoved her in front of a camera with her fake eyelashes somewhere near her eyeballs.
Two, she wants people to think she is a hood rat who made it out. Her performative ebonics and ridiculous use of the english language make it obvious she is a black Vanilla Ice, pretending to be someone she is clearly not.
And third, she is an attention whore who subscribes to the “any publicity is good publicity” school of thought. As long as she gets national exposure, she doesn’t care how stupid she looks or sounds.
That explains why she took a pot shot at Texas Governor Gregg Abbot, who has been in a wheel chair since he was 26 and was paralyzed by a tree falling on him when he was out for a run.
"Y’all know we got Governor Hot Wheels down there – come on now! And the only thing hot about him is that he is a hot a-- mess, honey," Crockett said.
Yikes. People like Jasmine Crockett know no shame. Hopefully Houston residents wake up next election and vote this scumbag out of office.

Finger-pointing abounds in lawsuit after failed merger between grocers
Our take: Albertsons and Kroger are two of the largest grocers in the United States. In October of 2022, they announced plans to merge, which would have created a company with over 6,000 locations and positioned it to compete with other giants like Costco and Walmart.
In December 2024, a federal judge in Oregon and a state judge in Washington issued injunctions blocking the merger. Albertsons promptly sued Kroger for breach of contract. Kroger responded in kind and is now suing Albertsons.
In court papers filed Tuesday in the Delaware Court of Chancery, Kroger said Albertsons disregarded the companies’ merger agreement and worked secretly with a partner, C&S Wholesalers, to try to force Kroger to divest more stores to C&S.
Kroger also claimed that Albertsons was secretly planning to sue Kroger if the deal didn’t go through long before the merger actually fell apart in December. Kroger said in Tuesday's court filing that it should not be forced to pay Albertsons a $600 million termination fee as well as billions of dollars in legal fees.
In a statement Tuesday, Albertsons said it was Kroger that failed to honor the merger agreement.
“Kroger’s self-interested conduct doomed the merger, and we are now focused on returning value to Albertsons’ shareholders to compensate for those losses,” Albertsons said.
Kroger and Albertsons first proposed the merger in 2022. They argued that combining would help them better compete with big retailers like Walmart and Costco.
But the Federal Trade Commission and two states — Washington and Colorado — sued to block the merger last year, saying it would raise prices and lower workers’ wages by eliminating competition. It also said Kroger and Albertsons' plan to divest 579 stores C&S Wholesalers was inadequate to ensure competition, since C&S was ill-equipped to take on so many stores.
This is one to watch purely for entertainment. Both companies perform well and both have plenty of cash to fight this out publicly. We don’t know where this will land, but we will keep an eye on it.

TIP OF THE DAY
Don’t play games. Everyone thinks that building a relationship needs games or lines — scripts — but that isn’t true. Tell the truth even if it’s blunt. Even if it isn’t pretty. If your partner is as honest as you, there should be no uncertainties.
