Illinois cities vow to break federal law, shielding illegal immigrants from federal law enforcement
Our take: We have great news for you if you live in the state of Illinois. You can now decide which federal laws you will follow and which ones you will ignore. At least if you work for the local governments, that is.
Both Chicago and Waukegan, cities in Illinois, have vowed to “secure and maintain the well-being of our community by following the guidance of the Illinois Attorney General Office, avoiding participation in federal enforcement efforts by preventing the sharing of information based solely on immigration status.” In other words, they won’t identify illegal aliens in their custody.
These are elected officials and police departments publicly stating the rules and laws don’t apply to them. They know better. They decide which laws need to be enforced and which laws can be enforced.
Imagine the next time you are stopped by a police officer telling them you will not follow the laws they are trying to enforce because “your only priority is to secure and maintain the well-being of the people in your car.” Check it out and let us know how you feel after you regain consciousness.
If you have not figured it out by now, the side that has allowed millions of people to enter and stay in our country illegally doesn’t give a shit about you or your family. They know what’s best, and you don’t have any say in the matter.
Never mind that the people being prioritized for deportation right now are criminals who have committed murders, rapes, and other violent crimes. Never mind that more than half the country voted for exactly what the Trump administration is performing now. Shut up and follow orders. Maybe we should have asked more questions when they told us to wear masks and take the vaccines, huh?

Self-made woman shares advice on how to build a successful business
Our take: Some people talk and dream about building a life that they want. Some people actually do it. The article we have shared describes one such person, and she shares some valuable tips on how to make it happen for yourself.
She states perfectionism is a fancy word for procrastination. We love it! She could not be more correct.
She says success is only possible through failure and imperfection. She is definitely 2 for 2!
She then shares her three favorite strategies to overcome perfectionism. We highly suggest you check out her article at the link included below.

The Pentagon pulls security detail and clearance from retired General Milley
Our take: Many may not know, but high-ranking government officials who have top security clearance keep that clearance even after they retire and are no longer government employees. The thinking behind this, which is not entirely without merit, is that people who have knowledge about how the government works and the threats our country faces daily can help in emergency situations if they stay up to date on the issues.
While that may be true, it also creates a situation where someone in the private sector knows confidential and highly sensitive information that they can use to enrich themselves. While we would think the vast majority of people who hold these positions would not use this information for nefarious reasons, it is certainly a practice that requires serious vetting.
General Mark Milley was the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the final part of the first Trump presidency. As Chairman, he reported directly to the President, who is the Commander in Chief of the US Military.
In the waning days of the Trump presidency, Milley promoted himself to galactic commander, surreptitiously calling the Chinese government to tell them the US would not attack them. He defended (and still does) these actions despite no order from the president to make them.
We don’t have any issues with Milley being cut off from security clearance and detail. He is no longer an active member of the military or the government. He can stay on the speaking circuit, making money telling people about how he saved the nation from another war or however he spins his decisions.

TIP OF THE DAY
Be nice to your mother. She did more for you when you were a child than you will ever know. She deserves your love and respect. Unless you’re Tonya Harding. Then do what you want.
