Museum honoring war heroes to open in Arlington, TX

Our take: This is a great story that originates out of Arlington, Texas. Jerry Jones, the billionaire owner of the Dallas Cowboys, was an integral part of the project, which honors the brave men and women in our armed forces who earned the Medal of Honor, our nations highest military award for valor in combat.

The National Medal of Honor Museum, which will open to the public on Tuesday in Arlington, Texas, will ensure that those who have earned the Medal of Honor and the ideals they embody are remembered and carried forward, showing that service to others and devotion to these principles are not confined to the battlefield, but can be expressed in communities, classrooms and boardrooms around the world.

The establishment of this museum is an invitation to all Americans to reflect on and put into action the values that define us as a nation, to learn from the stories of those who have answered the call of duty, and to recommit ourselves to building a better tomorrow.

The principles represented by the Medal of Honor are not confined to the battlefield. These are values that each American can strive to uphold in his or her daily life.

With so many negative stories out there, we were happy to run across this one and be able to share it with our readers. Never forget the millions of people who came before us and sacrificed greatly, some sacrificing their lives, for our country to enjoy the freedom we have enjoyed for 250 years. Kudos to all involved in this project.

Democrats must admit lying and mistakes if they want to regain power

Our take: We have consistently criticized Democrats and their short comings since their disastrous showing in the 2024 presidential election. The article we are sharing here does a great job underscoring many of the issues that drove people away from the Democrat party and into the Republican camp.

Directly from the article: A galaxy of pixels has been burned attempting to diagnose Democrats' lack of a plan, a vision or even a coherent argument beyond "Arrgh!" as Hurricane Donald, category 10, rips through the federal fiefdom.

Allow me to add to that unholy chorus by suggesting that the Democrats' path out of the wilderness begins with two ancient but still wholly relevant disciplines: repentance and confession.

Why repentance? It can be defined as a decision to turn back or change course. It's an acknowledgment that the path you're on is taking you in the wrong direction. Synonyms include regret, remorse and self-reproach.

In terms of what Democrats need to own for getting wrong, the article lists gaslighting on inflation (it’s transitory!), Joe Biden’s mental acuity (he’s never been sharper!), Covid 19 (it ocurred naturally, masks and social distancing solve everything!).

If these morons continue to try to defend positions that were long ago proved wrong, they will continue their march towards irrelevancy.

Pilot forgets passport, has to turn around flight to China

Our take: Talk about embarrassing! The pilot of a flight carrying 257 passengers and 13 crew members left their passport in San Francisco, and had to turn the plane around so they could land in China as planned.

A new crew worked the flight, and it landed as planned in China, albeit behind schedule. Don’t feel bad the next time you forget something at home and have to go back. It could always be worse.

TIP OF THE DAY

Go to bed and get up at the same time every day, including weekends. Being consistent reinforces your body's sleep-wake cycle. If you don't fall asleep within about 20 minutes of going to bed, leave your bedroom and do something relaxing. Read or listen to soothing music.
