Chipotle CEO says Gen Z and millennials are too burdened by unemployment and student loans to eat out
Our take: We have 3 comments here:
1 – It’s not that hard to find a job if you want one. You might not like the job, but welcome to life.
2 – Why is this only an issue for Gen Z and Millennials? Why don’t older generations have trouble finding jobs?
3 – Maybe you shouldn’t charge $12 for a burrito if you want to attract customers. That is all.

The flight bound for Rome returns to DC to retrieve the passenger's laptop that slipped into the cargo hold
Our take: One of the biggest risks a plane (or a boat) deals with is fire. Laptops and other portable electronic devices contain lithium batteries, which are a known fire risk. When a passenger's laptop slipped through a small crevice in the fuselage into the cargo hold, the flight did a U-turn and headed back to DC so the laptop could be retrieved and the plane could be inspected.
Can you imagine being the person who dropped the laptop when the plane took off for Rome again and arrived 4 hours late? My bet is no one bought that person any drinks.

Pennsylvania lawmakers pitch a “tax the rich” bill to cover their deficit
Our take: Pennsylvania has a budget deficit, and they want to tax rich people more to close it. A group of largely Democratic politicians pitched several bills aimed at “closing tax loopholes” and collecting more tax revenue from the rich and ultra-rich. Never mind that the top 1% of taxpayers already pay 40% of all income tax in the US.
Most rich and ultra-rich people are not stupid. They have the brains and resources to assess a situation and the means to take action if it benefits them. We have already seen similar results in California, Illinois, and New York. There have also been similar bills attempted in New York and Maryland, both of which saw an actual decrease in total tax revenue after the cash grab was attempted.
If you had hundreds of millions of dollars and the state you lived in had 2 times the tax rate of another state, why would you not make the move? They have nice places to live in Florida, Texas, and Nevada too—none of which have a state income tax. This is not hard math to do.

Tip of the day for making friends
FOCUS ON YOURSELF FIRS
This may seem selfish, but the truth is that when we invest time and energy in our own passions and interests, we become more interesting and likable to others. People are drawn to those who are confident, passionate, and engaged in life.
By pursuing your own goals and interests, you’ll naturally attract others who share your values and passions.
What’s more is that there’s nothing worse in a friendship - any relationship, really - than someone who constantly needs to be “fixed.” Take care of your own shit so you can be there for other people when they need you, and they’ll do the same for you.
In a seemingly paradoxical way, taking care of yourself first will attract the kind of supportive, loving friends that can help you be even better in the long run.
