A Washington Post reporter practices gymnastics stretching to dismiss theories he doesn’t like.
Our take: Pro tip: If you claim to be a reporter and start what is supposed to be a legitimate news article by sanctimoniously dismissing information you disagree with because you don’t like the source, you probably need to rethink your profession. Following that up by dismissing theories you disagree with because you cannot definitively prove them false does not help your cause either. The author states that “There was never solid evidence to suggest that either story was true.”
At question here are two stories left-wing media has wanted to dismiss for years but cannot. One is the Biden family involvement in a pay-for-play scheme with Ukrainian companies. The other is that there were government agents in the January 6th crowd that helped start or escalate the violence at the Capitol. Let's look at each separately and see if we should just forget both.
Hunter Biden was paid at least 6 million dollars from Ukrainian interests. Emails and text messages show Hunter Biden and associates discussing saving 10% for “the big guy." Joe Biden repeatedly lied about his involvement and knowledge of his son’s dealings. But because one guy involved in the investigation lied about evidence he purported to have, the whole thing must be false. We need to stop chasing ghosts and let the whole thing go. It’s crazy to expect people to actually answer questions to satisfy that no impropriety occurred. The sweeping 11-year unconditional pardon of Hunter Biden by his father must just be a coincidence. Uh-huh. It’s just as believable that I won’t eat the whole pint of Ben & Jerry’s I bought tonight. It says 4 servings per container right on the carton.
From the start, the US government would not confirm or deny if there were any US government agents in the crowd on January 6th. There were only 26 FBI informants in the crowd, not actual FBI employees. And the FBI swears that their informants didn’t have permission to enter the Capitol that day. So we are all good. You crazy conspiracy theorists need to sit down. The government would never lie to the American people. The next thing you know, people will be claiming crazy stuff like the US intelligence community was spying illegally on hundreds of millions of Americans and lied to Congress about it. Hold on—scratch that last point.
This guy needs to pull his head out of his ass and look at the whole picture. There is plenty of solid evidence to continue to explore both of these issues. You would think a journalist would be able to see that. Hard to see why no one reads the Washington Post anymore.

Nancy Pelosi has a target on AOC
Our take: AOC burst on the scene in 2009, defeating a long tenured Democrat to take his seat in the House. That coincided with Pelosi taking over as Speaker. The two women have clashed since the beginning. AOC refused to “toe the line” on several issues at the start of her term in office, and Pelosi worked to push her aside while pushing her agenda through.
Fast forward to present day. Pelosi has stepped down from the Speaker position (which she held twice after the Democrats took back the house from the Republicans in 2018) and AOC is looking to take over as the ranking member on the House Oversight Committee. Pelsoi is not about to sit by idly and watch that happen. Pelosi has been back channeling with House members, using her still considerable sway to support Gerry Connelly, a Virginia Democrat also vying for the position.
We watched the Jake Paul/Mike Tyson fight several weeks ago. In that contest, it was clear that youth clearly beat out experience. We would not bet against Pelosi in this one. We are not a fan of either, but Pelosi is a smart and wily veteran politician. She engineered Joe Biden’s ouster from the recently completed Presidential race among other things. AOC has made a powerful enemy in Pelosi, and we think she will continue to regret it until Pelosi retires.

Mark Cuban has penis envy of Elon Musk
Our take: Mark Cuban has shown a lot of skill in business. He developed internet companies at the start of the rise of the internet. He sold all of his Yahoo stock at the height of its value. He bought the Dallas Mavericks when they were perennial NBA doormats and turned them into champions, exponentially increasing the value of the franchise.
One of his latest ventures has the potential to do a lot of good. In an attempt to disrupt the pharmaceutical industry, he founded a company called Cost Plus Drugs. Cost Plus Drugs marks up all their medications by 15% and then adds on operating costs, delivering drugs to people’s houses many times at much lower cost than legacy drug companies. It seems like a great business model, and we hope it is successful. It has the potential to change people’s lives.
All that said, we call bullshit on a few things. First, Cuban taking a swipe at Elon Musk. During an interview about the company, Cuban was asked why he wasn’t looking to make more money. Cuban responded, "Well, I could make more money," Cuban said, to laughter in the crowd. "We're a public benefit corporation. But how much f---ing money do I need? I'm not trying to go to Mars." This seems a bit disingenuous from someone who starred on a show for over a decade where he literally tried to get rich by buying equity from business founders.
First, it seems like someone is a bit upset because they went to the boys room and wound up pissing next to John Holmes. Not many people in the world have more wealth than Cubans, but Musk could buy him and sell him 100 times over. Not a good lock for Cubans. Second, Musk is doing many things for the good of humanity. Telsa is leading the charge in pioneering the widespread use of electric vehicles. StarLink provides communications for millions of people that other companies cannot or will not service. SpaceX is literally trying to look for alternate planets to save humanity. Musk bought Twitter to defend free speech. There are plenty of greedy people out there. Musk sure doesn’t act like one. Third, we think Cuban is still butt hurt that he picked the losing horse in the election. Or maybe he’s just pissed he looks like Rachel Maddow’s older sister.

TIP OF THE DAY
Wealth is not built by making more money. Wealth is built by spending less money than you make and investing the excess income. While you are trying to make more money, don’t let your costs creep up too much. The freedom that wealth brings is more gratifying than any material things.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
