Columnist says feminism is great as long as you do it her way.

Our take: Wow. There is a lot to unpack here, so let’s jump right into it. First, we believe this author needs therapy. It is shocking that an organization like Newsweek would run this trash.

She starts off saying it is normally good when women obtain positions of power, but not the women appointed to leadership positions in the Trump administration. Her reasoning? They are too stupid or passive to push back against the Neanderthals running the show. Plus, their looks stink. She calls out the “conformity in the looks of GOP picks shows up as long, curling-ironed hair, "the Mar-A-Lago face" of Botox injections and plastic surgery, and super-tight, hyper-sexualized clothing.” Her words, not mine. I guess unless you don’t shave your legs and only wear Hilary Clintonesque polyester suits, you shouldn’t be in charge. Catty much?

She then spends 8 paragraphs detailing the ethnicity of the women appointed by Trump to the ethnicity of the women appointed by Biden. I guess discussing their achievements or qualifications was not relevant. Only the amount of botox they did/did not take, and if their skin is the right color.

Talk about tone deaf. Democrats obsession with identity politics knows no bounds. I’ll take reasons we lost the election for $600, Alex.

Rafael Nadal opens up about life and the mental challenges he faced

Our take: In a letter in The Player’s Tribune, tennis legend Rafael Nadal shared insight into his life, discussing an early lesson he learned from his uncle about dedication and sacrifice as well as some of the physical and mental struggles he dealt with throughout his career.

In particular, Nadal discusses some of the mental battles he had, including while on the court. Nadal had a career that is unmatched by almost anyone. He is among the greatest five tennis players to ever pick up a racquet. We appreciate his willingness to share some of the struggles he had. Coming from someone who has achieved heights almost none of us will ever acheive, we think a piece like this can be incredibly inspiring and therapeutic for others who may be dealing with similar issues from lower stations in life. We applaud his courage and willingness to show his struggles and vulnerabilities.

Biden's staff kept people away from the president for years to hide physical and mental decline

Our take: President Joe Biden was 77 years old at his inauguration, leading to justified questions of his physical and mental ability to do what is arguably the most demanding job in the world. We all know people in our everyday lives that are in their 70’s and 80’s, and almost to a person, no one would submit these people were up to the task.

When anyone brought up these questions, cries of ageism and partisanship were screamed as loud as possible. We were told Biden had never been better. That junior staffer could not keep up with him. That he was the paragon of vitality and leadership. One problem: no one, including those closest to the president, believed a word of it.

Now that his presidency is coming to an end, some close to him or denied access to him are admitting layers of security and insulation were installed to keep anyone from actually talking about substantive issues with the president. Only a handful of people had direct contact with him. Cabinet meetings were less frequent than any other administration. Key members of his own party could not speak directly with him.

This all begs the question: who has been running the country the past 4 years? Who is running it now? Who decided we should withdraw from Afghanistan? Send billions of dollars to Ukraine? Who pardoned Hunter Biden?

This is not the first time that a sitting president may not have actually been calling the shots. Woodrow Wilson suffered a massive stroke in his last year in office. It was largely rumored his wife Edith was running the country for the last 6 months of his term. Ronald Reagan developed Alzheimers during his second term, and it was believed Nancy Reagan and her psychic were in charge. We would bet Bill Clinton had to make a lot of concessions after his trips to fellatio world and cigar town. Hillary did not stick around for free.

With all that said, none of these situations were right. With Biden in particular, it also underscores how badly Kamala Harris lied to the American public when she full-throatedly endorsed Biden’s mental and physical acuity after his disastrous debate performance made his decline undeniable. One more reason to celebrate the outcome of the election.
