Joe Rogan questions the circumstances around the Butler assassination attempt
Our take: Joe Rogan has been a public figure for a few decades now. He seems to be one of the few public figures who still seems somewhat normal. His podcast is a place where people can discuss almost anything. Rogan himself has lots of questions about the attempted assassination of then-candidate, now-President Donald Trump in Butler, PA, last year.
Rogan has lots of questions about why the breakdowns in security happened. Why did law enforcement not have someone on the roof closest to the podium with the clearest line of sight? Why did they not stop the shooter when he was walking around with a rangefinder? Why did they let Donald Trump take the stage even after they had reports that a person with a gun had been sighted at least 10 minutes before Trump took the stage? Why have we heard virtually nothing about the shooter or the events leading up to the shooting in the past year?
The article headline states Rogan “doubled down” on this conspiracy theory. As if previous conspiracy theories have not proven to be true once they have been dragged into the sunlight. The government was not listening in on hundreds of millions of citizens' private communications illegally. Wait—yes, they were. Hunter Biden’s laptop was clearly Russian disinformation. Fuck—it was really his? Brigitte Macron was born a man? OK—This one is still playing out, and we are there for the results for sure. Here is to Rogan continuing to ask good questions and provide a platform where people can explore situations for the actual truth.

Man arrested after saying his wife killed herself but ranted about her sleeping around
Our take: In a story straight out of America’s dumbest criminals, a man called police and told them his wife had killed herself. When police showed up, his story did not square with the evidence.
The woman had no visible burns or stippling, both of which would have been present if she had shot herself in the head, which is how she died. The man also said he found texts the night before showing she was talking to other men and indicated she was having an affair.
This led to a fight during which a chair and a light fixture were broken, and the man held 2 different firearms to his own head. He also changed his story several times when asked where he was in the home when his wife allegedly shot herself.
Short of recording himself shooting his wife, this guy couldn’t have made it easier for cops to figure this out.

Woman shares her story about creating an “open marriage” at 39 with 2 kids
Our take: Call us old-fashioned, but we are not big fans of open marriages. The whole point of getting married is to commit yourself to one person and ask them to do the same for you. That said, everyone gets to decide for themselves how to live their life.
The author of this article shares how, at the age of 39 with 2 kids, she decided to open her marriage with her now ex-husband. Shocker! Read it for yourself, and maybe you can explain it to me.

Tip of the day – improving communication
Think before you speak. Always pause before you speak, not saying the first thing that comes to mind. Take a moment and pay close attention to what you say and how you say it. This one habit will allow you to avoid embarrassment.
