Tesla approves $878 million pay package for Elon Musk

Our take:  Over 75% of Tesla shareholders approved a massive pay package tied to massive milestones, including pushing Tesla’s valuation to $8.5 trillion by 2035. Our favorite part of this story hasn’t happened yet. We look forward to the freak-out by the “wealth inequality” crowd. Almost $1 trillion is mindboggling, but Tesla shareholders have every right to compensate their CEO as they see fit. Anyone who doesn’t own Tesla stock can say whatever they want. It doesn’t mean a thing.

Judge orders Trump administration to pay November SNAP benefits in full by Friday

Our take: 3 weeks before Thanksgiving, a federal judge has ordered November SNAP benefits to be paid in full by Friday. This is good news for the 41 million SNAP recipients who have not received the benefits they normally receive at the beginning of the month. This also clears the way for the government shutdown to drag on, as this was the biggest pain point either party would face until the end of the year. It’s hard to believe the group of people we currently have in Congress is the best we can do.

Our take: The article explains it in detail, but go to Settings, then General, then Background App Refresh, and change it to WiFi only. You’re welcome.

Tip of the day for learning not to care what other people think about you

This might sound counterintuitive, but bear with me: disapproval is actually good for you. It might sting at first, but it’s a powerful tool for growth. Just like a muscle needs resistance to grow stronger, your emotional resilience grows when you face rejection or criticism.

Avoiding disapproval only strengthens its power over you. You might spend years running from it, but once you choose to face it, you realize it doesn't have the power to destroy you. And in fact, by embracing it, you start to build emotional strength and confidence.
