A book by press members says the Biden White House lied to everyone, including cabinet members, about Biden's mental decline

Our take: By now, anyone with a grip on reality knows that the Biden White House lied about his cognitive decline for years. In a real-life “emperor has no clothes” scenario, the sycophants in the media, in the Democratic Party, and the elected officials and bureaucrats in charge all happily and dutifully swallowed the shit the White House was shoveling.

Incredibly, a new book written by Jake Tapper, a CNN stooge who did not push back in any meaningful way on the obvious issues Biden displayed, and Alex Thompson, who writes for Axios and deserves a little credit for being one of the only people who questioned the White House on Biden’s mental capacity, covers the scandal.

Previews of the book make such claims as Biden’s doctor recommended Biden start using a wheelchair due to a deteriorating spine, that insiders noticed a clear decline in Biden’s mental capacity as early as 2022, and that Democrats avoided discussing the issue until the 2024 election was over.

It is rich that Tapper has the balls to put this out in public as if he is an arbiter of the truth or acted like an actual journalist on this subject. This is like a criminal who commits a crime making a movie about their crimes to profit further off them. Suffice it to say we could see with our own eyes that Biden looked like your elderly neighbor who is wandering the streets looking for the car he sold 20 years ago. We won’t be reading a book that tells us what we already know: the Biden inner circle wanted to hang onto power and lied to the American public in a desperate attempt to do so.

A couple loses their nest egg to a wire fraud scam

Our take: This story is a tough one. A couple buying a house was bilked out of $255,000 by a fraudulent wire scheme.

The couple had a deal in place, and the time came to wire the down payment. They received the wire instructions to deposit the down payment—$255,000—and followed the instructions. Unfortunately, the instructions that they received came from a scammer pretending to be a representative of the title company, and the $255,000 had been stolen.

Oof. This would be devastating for any of us. We use wire services frequently for payments to and from vendors and other businesses. The lesson here is you should always call someone you know and trust at the institution sending the instructions and verify them before you send a wire.

The couple here is the victim of terrible people who did a terrible thing. They are not to blame. That said, they are still out $255,000 and could have avoided the loss with a simple phone call.

Amazon worker talks burnout, balance

Our take: Burnout for people in intense work situations is real and nothing new. Everyone has limits on what they can handle. What those limits are differs from person to person. In today’s society, it is encouraged for people to recognize and talk about the signs of burnout, as well as take action to counteract the symptoms.

While the article is interesting, it is difficult for us to take a twenty-something talking about burnout seriously. With they said, there are good things in the article for someone who is challenged by burnout/lack of balance in their life.

Tip of the Day

It’s easy to find negativity in this world. It’s OK to tune that out from time to time and find the fun. Spend time with a friend who makes you laugh, watch a funny TV show or movie, or enjoy your favorite comic on stage (live or in a recorded performance). Even remembering something funny that happened in the past can make you laugh today and improve your mood.
