A woman with experience of fraud in Somalia perfectly explains why the issue is cultural and not racial or moral
Our take: This article is a great read. It was written by a woman who, decades ago, was a rice farmer who donated product to help starving children in Somalia. She visited Somalia to see her donation’s impact in person, only to find the donation had been hijacked by a powerful group of warlords. She does a great job of explaining why this happens in places like Somalia that are built on a lack of trust and only trusting blood relatives.
She explains why this is logical if you have been raised and taught in this environment, and how it is not a moral or ethical judgment, but a practical one. Like I said – worth the read.

Idiot who torched a Tesla sentenced to 5 years in federal prison
Our take: If you think back 18 months ago or so, you will recall there were many people who fervently stated the world would end if their political candidate did not win the upcoming US presidential election. Newsflash—the world would not have ended either way the election went.
However, some people decided they could not accept the fact that Elon Musk, the world's richest man, supported Donald Trump, both in spirit and financially. To try and express their disdain, and perhaps in a foolish attempt to stop Musk from supporting Trump, many who disagreed decided to vandalize Tesla vehicles and dealerships.
One such idiot firebombed a Tesla dealership. This dangerous and irresponsible act put many lives at risk. The good news here is that the perpetrator was not super smart and made tons of mistakes that left clues that quickly led investigators to identify and capture them. They made a deal to plead guilty for a less harsh sentence. That sentence was handed down last week, and our pyromaniac will spend the next five years in federal prison to reflect on his choices.

Political hack Eric Swalwell is running for Governor of California despite living in Washington DC
Our take: Eric Swalwell is a congressman from California. He is probably best known for 2 reasons: first, he was suspected of banging a Chinese spy (he denies it and was never formally charged), and second, he ripped a fart during an interview with MSNBC and then denied it. Listen to the interview yourself and see what you think. It sure sounds like a fart to us.
Swalwell has convinced himself that he would make a great governor of California. Unfortunately for him, you have to live in California to run for governor of California. Swalwell and his wife own a $1.2 million home in the Washington, DC, area that he listed as his primary residence on their mortgage application, according to a new lawsuit filed by a conservative activist looking to remove Swalwell from the ballot.
Swalwell is a tool and has zero chance of winning the election, but we like the fact he has to deal with this issue simply because he’s a smarmy little punk.
