Trump says he is not joking when he says he is thinking about running for a 3rd term in office
Our take: If you ever want to send a Star Wars or Star Trek fan over the edge, simply tell them you love the series as well, and then substitute a Star Wars character into a Star Trek story or vice versa. Something like, “I love Star Wars—Captain Kirk is my favorite! ”
If you want to freak out a Trump hater in 2025, simply bring up the fact he has not ruled out running for a 3rd term as president. I should warn you that it may get ugly, so do so at your own risk.
President Donald Trump on Sunday didn't rule out running for a third term, even though it's prohibited by the United States' Constitution, adding that he was "not joking."
"A lot of people want me to do it," Trump said in an interview with NBC News. "But, I mean, I basically tell them we have a long way to go, you know, it’s very early in the administration."
Trump said he's "focused on the current" term, but when asked whether he wants a third term, he said, "I like working."
"I’m not joking," he said when asked to clarify. "But I’m not—it is far too early to think about it."
As we all know, the 22nd amendment currently limits anyone to serving 2 terms as president. There are several ways to amend the Constitution, but it seems far-fetched that any of those could be accomplished. Either way, we will enjoy watching Trump haters freak out and call this the end of democracy for the next 3.5 years.

Bank teller embezzles over $180k
Our take: Bank robberies used to be much more commonplace than they are now. With the increase in both physical and electronic security and technology available to identify and record fraudulent transactions, they are increasingly rare in today’s world.
That did not stop a bank teller in Boston from stealing over $180k from 2 customers in just over a year.
Derek Aut—a former sandwich maker at a beloved sub shop in Revere—pleaded guilty in federal court to embezzling funds while working as a teller at a bank in Boston, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said. His theft involved forging bank customers’ signatures on withdrawal slips and moving money between accounts to cover his tracks, according to prosecutors.
The victims were an executive who lived in Asia and a 99-year-old Bostonian, according to court filings. The nearly-century-old woman was the one who first reported Aut’s theft. Aut spent most of the cash gambling at the harbor casino, the FBI said.
Bank records show Aut made 46 withdrawals from her account totaling $156,000, which also resulted in nearly $17,000 in penalties for withdrawing from restricted accounts. Aut completed the withdrawals by forging her signature, according to a federal indictment.
The second victim was a 99-year-old Bostonian. Aut stole nearly $11,000 from her account over four withdrawals, according to court filings.
He replaced nearly $6,000 with money from the executive’s account after the nearly century-old woman reported it at the TD Bank branch on Winter Place near Boston Common, court filings say.
It’s pretty crazy that one person can make these kinds of transactions without someone else reviewing and approving them. The double entry or dual approval method is an easy fix to prevent this from happening. It is hard to believe that TD Bank did not have this in place, or enforce it if it was in place. Huge miss on their part.

“Loyalty testers” will try to get your partner to flirt with them for a fee
Our take: My wife is one of the most untrusting people on the face of the earth. It makes no difference to me, as I am one of the most straightforward and open people on the face of the earth, so we are a good match.
When we were first married and establishing our relationship, I told her to hire a good looking private investigator to hit on me if it made her feel better.
In today’s world, there are people who will provide a similar service through online methods.
Some TikTok users offer to run loyalty tests for followers. On YouTube, several loyalty test videos have gone viral, racking up millions of views. The trend has even spawned an industry, with the company Loyalty-Test allowing people to make profiles and set their own rates for loyalty testing. After the 29-year-old, Ari, used that company to test her boyfriend (he passed), she was so impressed with the service that she became a tester. She, like several others we interviewed for this piece, asked that we withhold her full name as she uses her real social media accounts to bait potential cheaters, and she doesn't want to tip off anyone she may encounter down the line − or incur the wrath of scorned cheaters she's caught.
We would argue that if you get to the point you don’t trust your partner enough that you need to hire someone to give you proof they would stray, you already know you ahve an issue, you are just looking for proof to make you feel better about making a decision you know you need to make.
