Biden defends autopen use by saying it was necessary because he gave so many clemencies
Our take: The fallout from the Biden presidency continues to come to light. The biggest question now is not if Biden was not running the country, but how long he was not running the country. This latest revelation is not flattering at all.
In an attempt to make the issue go away, former President Biden made it much worse. The former president told The New York Times he authorized the use of the “autopen,” a device used to affix the president’s signature to official documents, by multiple members of his administration. He did so because of the “large number of clemencies” he granted. For context, Biden set a record for pardons, commutations, and clemencies with over 4,200 during his presidency.
A large number of these came at the end of his presidency, when his mental acuity was clearly at its lowest point. Among those who received pardons were the Jan. 6 Committee members, Gen. Mark Milley, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Biden’s siblings, their spouses, and Biden’s son, Hunter. The question now is the same question that Nixon could not answer and had to resign in scandal: What did the president know, and when did he know it? Americans deserve answers, not bullshit from a feeble old man trying to cover his ass.

Former British Olympic swimmer threatens lawsuits unless British sports groups ban men from competing against women
Our take: The world is finally coming to its senses in regard to men competing in women’s sports. In England, the Supreme Court ruled that women’s sports groups must be restricted to biological women only. The group Women’s Rights Network, which acts as the secretariat to the APPG, said while 21 UK sporting bodies restrict women’s sport to biological sex, 38 do not.
Sharron Davies is having none of it. Ms. Davies is an Olympic swimmer, winning the silver medal at the 1980 games in Moscow. She will announce Tuesday that her group, Sex Matters, will launch a 50,000-pound lawsuit against the owners of the Ladies Pond at Hampstead, north London, for allowing transwomen to use it. She also said other women’s sports groups would face similar suits if they failed to comply with the ruling. Kudos to Ms.
Davies for standing up for all women. This is not a confusing or difficult subject. Men should compete against men, and women should compete against women. If you have a problem with that, that is exactly what it is—your problem.

Former Obama speechwriter says not speaking to his brother-in-law because of political disagreements was a mistake
Our take: One would think that as a speechwriter, your ability to think critically and prioritize what is important and not important would be solid. Not so for this douche.
David Litt was a speechwriter for former President Obama. He wrote in a New York Times offering that he felt it was his “civic duty” to be rude to his brother-in-law because his brother-in-law supported Joe Rogan and disagreed with Mr. Litt on Covid-19 and vaccines. "My frostiness wasn’t personal. It was strategic. Being unfriendly to people who turned down the vaccine felt like the right thing to do. How else could we motivate them to mend their ways?" Litt wrote.
But things changed because of a monumental development. Mr. Litt wanted to learn to surf, and his brother-in-law was the only surfer Mr. Litt knew. So Mr. Litt mended the relationship so he could learn to surf. I am dead fucking serious. This jackass actually wrote this like it was a revelation or he was a deep thinker.
Matt and I remain very different, yet we’ve reached what is, in today’s America, a radical conclusion: We don’t always approve of each other’s choices, but we like each other," Litt conceded. Litt said his brother-in-law's generosity while they surfed together made him rethink his behavior, and that his surfing guidance had made Litt more courageous.
"Ostracizing him wouldn’t have altered his behavior—and it would have made my own life worse," Litt wrote.
"Our differences are meaningful, but allowing them to mean everything is part of how we ended up here. When we cut off contacts or let algorithms sort us into warring factions, we forget that not so long ago, we used to have things to talk about that didn’t involve politics. Shunning plays into the hands of demagogues, making it easier for them to divide us and even, in some cases, to incite violence," he wrote. Thanks, Mr. Litt—you can have a seat now.

Tip of the day – changing your mindset
Accept that your thinking needs adjusting – We’ve all had goals and dreams that didn’t unfold the way we hoped or expected. When this happens repeatedly, we start to wonder what we need to change. But rarely do we look inside at our own thinking as the place to start making changes.
We live in a skillset-driven society that emphasizes learning new skills and improving the ones we’re weakest at. This often fosters the belief that we need more education in order to achieve our goals. Some people go back to school, others take seminars and workshops or read books, always looking for that silver bullet skillset that will make everything fall into place. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not downplaying the value of skillsets; but more often, it’s our mindsets that need adjustment. The good news is, it’s a lot less expensive and much faster to change your mindsets than to go learn a new skill. So step one is simply to acknowledge that you’re going to work on your mindsets first.
