A woman says a man asks her to split the bill from their date after she rejects his advances
Our take: A woman on Reddit says she went on a few dates with a man. On the third date, while watching a movie together late at night, he tried to kiss her. She wasn’t into it and left. The next day he texted her and said he hoped she had a good time and asked her to pay for half the costs he spent.
Guys – pay for the dates and take your chances. It’s as simple as that. If you want a sure thing, that’s what prostitutes are for. It’s a straightforward exchange of services for money. If she’s not a prostitute, you’re entitled to nothing. If she’s not interested, she’s not interested. Raise your game. Asking her for half the bill is a super douchey thing to do. If you don’t think it’s wrong to do this, you should stop dating until you figure it out. Time to man up, gentlemen.

Florida firefighter goes “Fatal Attraction” and dumps 75 tampons painted red in ex’s front yard
Our take: If you have not seen the movie Fatal Attraction from the 1980s, put it on your list. It’s awesome and has the added bonus of scaring the shit out of anyone thinking about cheating.
A firefighter in Florida had her own fatal attraction moment when she stopped by her ex-boyfriend’s house (where he lives with his new girlfriend) and dumped 75-ish tampons, painted red to make them appear used, on their front lawn. Surveillance footage captured the act, and the woman was arrested. She eventually admitted to the act but said her mother and aunt were the ones who dreamed it up. Her attorneys are trying to get the case dismissed, claiming no actual crime has been committed.
Yikes! No word if there were any bunnies or roller coasters involved.

The woman says she had to have her mother-in-law removed from her wedding ceremony by the police because she didn’t agree with the wedding
Our take: Some people hit it off right away with their in-laws. Others don’t. This woman falls into the second category. Her mother-in-law did not agree the young couple should get married so soon, as she wanted her son to stay closer to home and go directly to graduate school instead of getting married. The couple decided to follow through with their plans despite the MIL’s protests.
Mommie dearest showed up in full form at the wedding, so much so that the couple needed the police to remove the MIL from the event. Mommy spent the rest of the night sending threatening texts to the couple and getting blotto so she “did not have to remember anything.”
Keep this in mind while you are complaining about your in-laws. My bet is they look like a cross between Mother Teresa, The Pope, and Ryan Seacrest compared to this lady.

Tip of the day for developing grift
Step 2: Build grit with small physical wins.
So often we think that grit is about how we respond to extreme situations, but what about everyday circumstances?
Mental toughness is like a muscle. It needs to be worked to grow and develop.
Choose to do the tenth rep when it would be easier to just do nine. Choose to create when it would be easier to consume. Choose to ask the extra question when it would be easier to accept.
Prove to yourself — in a thousand tiny ways — that you have enough guts to get in the ring and do battle with life.Read more: The Proven, Reasonable and Totally Unsexy Secret to Success.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
“At various points, in big ways and small, we get knocked down. If we stay down, grit loses. If we get up, grit prevails.” - Angela Duckworth
