Fake nurse arrested after treating thousands of people without a license
Our take: A woman who posed as a nurse by using someone else’s name and license number was arrested for practicing medicine without a license in Florida. 29-year-old Autumn Bardisa faked her way into a job by providing a license carried by someone with the same first name and explained the different last name by claiming she had recently married, which is why the last name was different.
Doctors and administrators did not become suspicious until Bardisa popped out of a cake in skimpy lingerie in the emergency room and said she would show everyone why she was the “head” nurse.

Federal officials hid in the back of a rental truck at Home Depot to conduct an immigration raid
Our take: In an operation dubbed “Operation Trojan Horse”, federal officials hid in the back of a rental truck in a Home Depot parking lot in Los Angeles and surprised suspected illegal immigrants in an early morning raid Wednesday.
Officials said this operation was chosen over “Operation Pull My Finger”, “Operation Hey, is that Elvis?”, and “Operation Free Tostadas in the Van.”

Florida mom arrested after leaving 10-year-old son at home while she vacationed in Vegas
Our take: A Florida mother was arrested for partying in Las Vegas while leaving her 10-year-old son at home by himself to fend for himself and their 7 dogs.
Police discovered the boy by himself, and the interior of the house covered with animal urine and feces. He told police he had been by himself for over 2 weeks.
Jessica Copeland, 37, was arrested and ordered not to contact her son while the case works its way through the court system. No word on how much money Copeland won or if she caught any Cirque De Sole shows in Vegas.
