Biden aides felt justified in doing “undemocratic things” because Trump was their opponent
Our take: As the fallout continues from those close to President Biden admitting they hid his mental decline not only from the country but from everyone except the circle of people closest to the then-president, the author of a tell-all book provides at least one reason why they felt justified in their actions.
Alex Thompson, co-author of the book “Original Sin,” appeared on “Fox News Sunday” this weekend. He stated that those closest to Biden felt justified doing “undemocratic things” during Biden’s term in office because they viewed Donald Trump as an “existential threat to democracy.” One aide who spoke with Thompson anonymously said Biden “just had to win, and then he could disappear for 4 years.”
Here is the thing. Government is run by people. People are usually driven by the same things: money, power, acceptance, and recognition. No one is immune to being swayed by these forces. If you are in a position of power and you think you are right, you can justify many things being necessary “for the greater good.”
From our perspective, the breakdown here happened in the media. We have long counted on reporters and media members to dig for the truth and not accept government talking points at face value.
In the United States, as far back as the Adams administration (the XYZ affair), reporters have brought sunlight to nefarious politicians breaking the law and putting their own interests ahead of the country. Throughout history, there have been dozens of examples of media rooting out corruption: the Pentagon Papers, Watergate, the Iran-Contra scandal, Fast & Furious, and the list goes on.
Our media were not only complicit in allowing the Biden Administration to lie to the American public, but they also now want to act shocked that they were lied to. All administrations lie—all of them, regardless of their political party. If the members of the media want us to hold them in the same high regard they hold themselves, they need to do their job instead of bootlicking their preferred politicians.

A woman tracks her alcohol intake for a year, reports that her journal says she was drinking too much
Our take: The human mind is an amazing contraption. We can all fool ourselves into thinking things are one way when they are very much another way.
Case in point: a woman tracked her drinking to see how many times in a year she drank more than “moderate,” which was defined by the AMA for women as one drink a day, not exceeding 7 a week. In her head, she thought she was cruising. In her journal, she was not doing nearly as well as she thought.
During 26 of the 52 weeks in 2024, she surpassed the standards for “moderate” drinking. The real story here from our perspective is that by writing things down, she spotted trends in her habits, which allowed her to take action to make changes that benefitted her.
She noticed she drank more in the early summer and around the holidays. She had events she attended around both those time periods that drove her to drink more. She also noticed that when she had a big goal she was focused on (running a marathon in her case), she drank less.
She also stated she had the hardest time giving up alcohol when it felt like a punishment, removing something that brought pleasure, or as part of an undefined goal, like “being healthier.”
Because she had all this information, she was able to put together and execute a plan that allowed her to control her drinking and live a happier and more fulfilled life than when she was drinking more.
This is a great roadmap for anyone to follow to drop a habit they don’t like and institute new habits that they do like. It could be eating healthier, losing weight, quitting smoking or alcohol, or controlling their temper. We all have things we would like to change. If you use the roadmap as laid out by this woman, it could make it easier for you to accomplish your goals.

The Democrat party is meeting at luxury hotels and resorts to figure out why they are losing the support of working-class voters
Our take: All of us are products of our environment. If we are surrounded by people doing bad things, it’s much more likely we will do bad things. If we are around people who walk the line, we are more likely to walk the line as well. Smokers hang out with smokers. Foodies hang out with foodies. Knitters hang out with knitters. It’s pretty basic.
Which is why it makes it even funnier that Democrats continue to gather in their walled-off world of high-end hotels, spas, neighborhoods, and restaurants as they scratch their heads and try to figure out why the working class continues to flee the party. Drinking their $30 cocktails and $500 bottles of wine as they claim to know what welders, plumbers, and retail workers really need does not seem to be working.
Here is an idea. Why not go to the South Side of Chicago, or Skid Row in Los Angeles, or Bedford-Stuyvesant in New York, or the Appalachians in West Virginia and see how many Americans actually live? Go into their houses and see them heating their living rooms with their kitchen ovens because they cannot afford to fix their broken furnaces. See children sleeping 4 to a room with 2 twin beds. Watch people go to and from work on buses because they cannot afford a car.
Maybe then they would understand that “democracy is on the ballot” is a bullshit campaign slogan when many people don’t know how they are going to feed their family or where they will sleep tonight. For us, it would have the added bonus of us not having to listen to the sanctimonious drivel they spout as they try to virtue signal louder than the other elite college graduates that run in their circles. We are tired of the Illuminati running their mouths, telling the world they know what’s best for everyone when they have zero clue what world they actually live in.
With all those facts, what do you think the verdict should be? Does it change your mind if I told you the police officer was white and the suspect was Black? It shouldn’t….
