Jasmine Crockett declares run for Senate, but no Senate Democrats will publicly back her
Our take: Race hustler Jasmine Crockett declared her candidacy for the Democratic primary in the upcoming US Senate race in 2026. Even those in her own party in the Senate won’t support her. When asked for comment or support, more than a dozen current Democratic U.S. senators declined. That’s not a great start. Crockett’s immature and obvious pandering is about to come back and bite her in the fake eyelashes. We are here for it!

Teen football players in Florida for the championship game arrested for stealing over $2k in merchandise from Dick’s Sporting Goods
Our take: Oof. This is a bad look. 8 players in Florida from Pennsylvania decided to shoplift from a Dick’s Sporting Goods before they went to their game. Not surprisingly, their scam was easily identified and captured on video, and they were promptly arrested before they suited up for the big game.
They weren’t stealing Gatorade and Cliff Bars. They stole clothing, hats, gloves, and other items worth more than $2,000. All players were under the age of 16. Seems like they need less coaching on football and more coaching on how to be decent human beings and productive members of society. The more we excuse this type of behavior instead of universally condemning it, the longer it will continue.

In-N-Out opens its first 3 restaurants in Tennessee
Our take: In-N-Out has developed a cult-like following since it opened in 1948. Count us in as one of the cult members. In-N-Out does basic burgers to perfection. Fresh meat, hand-cut fries, all fresh produce, and real milkshakes are among the many things they refuse to compromise on. It pays off when you have a meal there. Folks in Tennessee are now able to experience it for themselves after In-N-Out opened the first of 3 locations in the state today. To our friends in the Volunteer State, get a double-double with onions. We promise you won’t regret it.

Tip of the day for thinking critically
Question your own biases, too. Everyone has biases, and there’s no point pretending otherwise. The trick is to think objectively about your likes and dislikes, preferences, and beliefs, and consider how these might affect your thinking.
