Gavin Newsom claims Florida and Texas are the “real high tax states.” Shocker – he is lying again
Our take: Gavin Newsom is a piece of work. In 2005, he had an affair with the wife of his campaign manager and close friend. He says he never endorsed or used the term Latinx when it fell out of favor with larger society, despite being on video using the term dozens of times. He said allowing men to participate in women’s sports was “deeply unfair” after supporting California’s law to allow transgender boys to participate in women’s sports. He has also said on multiple occasions that “he hates lying politicians.” Hypocrite much?
Now he is saying that income tax-free states, Texas and Florida, are the “real high tax states” despite California ranking higher than both states in total taxes per capita, total tax as a percentage of income, and many other measurable metrics. At least one thing he said recently is true. Newsom claimed he was too stupid to read speeches, and his SAT scores proved he was “dumb like you.” I can’t speak for you, but I’m very willing to agree that Newsom is a moron. Don’t believe this slimy jerk.

An Oregon ballot initiative would outlaw hunting, fishing, and farming
Our take: I was born and raised in Portland. I left in the early 2000’s. The city has become more and more left-wing. Most of the territory in Oregon is not the liberal nuthouse Portland has become, but the population numbers pit the rural areas against Portland in most statewide elections.
A proposed ballot that is approaching the necessary signatures to make it onto the ballot in November would make every day, necessary activities such as hunting, fishing, and farming, labelling them as “animal cruelty.” I thought this may have been a satirical article when I first read it. Sadly, it is not. The weirdos in my hometown have lost their minds.

People helping themselves to free hotel breakfast despite not being guests
Our take: This should not surprise anyone. Some hotels are struggling with people coming in during their free breakfast and helping themselves despite not being guests at the hotel. People are crazy, man. Anywhere there are products or services, there will be people trying to steal them or get them for free. That’s one thing you can count on. It takes some stones to cruise into the hotel as a stranger and make yourself a waffle or grab some bacon and eggs, though.

Tip of the day – How to find purpose in your life
Write it down
They say an unwritten goal is just a wish, and that’s true for your purpose as well. Journal your thoughts as you go, with the goal of writing a personal mission statement. You should be able to define your purpose in one or two paragraphs. You don’t have to have answers for everything; your purpose just provides the guidelines for finding the answers as you go.
