Unfunny comedian lays out the rules for jokes white men can tell
Our take: This woman took it upon herself to lay out the rules for the jokes white men who like to have sex with women can tell. As you can guess, you have to check a bunch of mythical boxes like race, gender, and “lived experience.” I bet she would not think it was funny if we told her to shut up and make us a sandwich, but we did it anyway. I hope I don’t wind up in “comedy jail” for breaking the rules.

San Jose mayor warns Californians that their “wealth tax” proposal may backfire
Our take: California, the bastion of bad policy, is considering yet another terrible policy. A union is trying to gather enough signatures to get their proposal to tax billionaires a one-time 5% tax on all their assets. The mayor of San Jose is warning that if this happens, the likelihood of billionaires moving out of California is high. Duh. If you had $10 billion in assets (not cash – assets) and you could either stay where you were and write a $500 million check to the government, or spend $10 million and buy a house in Florida or Texas where there is zero state income tax, what would you do? Me too!

News Nation reporter says she had to cut live broadcast short due to protestors threatening them
Our take: A News Nation reporter trying to film a live statement at a protest site says she had to cut her broadcast short because she was shouted down and threatened by anti-ICE protestors. There are few universal statements that are true, but this one is. If you find yourself on the side of a dispute that wants to silence their critics or anyone else by shouting them down, threatening them with violence, or actually committing violence on them, you’re on the wrong side of the issue.

Be Persuasive
Use persuasion and logic when trying to convince others. Present your ideas clearly, backed by data or facts, and appeal to the other person’s self-interest. This helps you come across as reasonable and solution-oriented.
