Fans protest male cheerleaders being hired by NFL teams
Our take: We are sharing this story out of curiosity. The NFL is one of the most powerful sports entertainment brands in the world. One of the long-standing traditions is for each team to have a cheerleading squad. Those squads have generally been made up of pretty ladies.
This year, 12 teams have hired male cheerleaders. While some teams have previously had male cheerleaders, they were always dressed in different uniforms and performed different actions than the female cheerleaders. This year, some of the men hired are dressing and performing in an identical manner as the women. This has led to some protesting the hirings, and some even cancelling their season tickets.
We need to see and know more about this subject before we have an opinion. NFL teams are privately owned businesses and should be able to do whatever they choose so long as it is legal. Private citizens who disagree with those choices have the right to do so. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Gavin Newsom tries to mimic Trump with memes and nicknames for VP Vance
Our take:
Gavin Newsom is the shape of water. He does and says whatever he thinks will win him political favor. During Covid, he locked down California like Alcatraz in the 1940s, then went out to dinner while others were being arrested for surfing. He stood proudly for transgendered men to participate in women’s sports until it felt like the public support opposed it. He then quickly went public, saying it was “deeply unfair” to allow men to compete against women. Duh.
He is now trying to act like Donald Trump, attempting to nickname Vice President JD Vance as “Just Dance” Vance, meaning he does the bidding of President Trump. Newsom is so stupid he thinks this is a flex. He needs to watch Mean Girls and heed the words of Regina George—stop trying to make this happen; it’s NOT going to happen. If Democrats run this spineless shell of a man as their candidate in the 2028 election, it will be President Just Dance Vance.

Family escapes after arsonist sets fire to their house in the middle of the night
Our take: This story is crazy. While a Texas family slept, a masked and hooded arsonist walked up to their front porch, doused it with gasoline, and set it on fire. The couple’s 21-year-old daughter was awake and saw the motion sensor lights come on as the arsonist approached the house. By the time the daughter made it downstairs, the fire was threatening to breach the living room window. She called 911 and alerted her family, all of whom made it out of the house unharmed.
What the fuck is going on in Texas? As of now, the police have not made any arrests in the fire. Hopefully they track this psycho down quickly before someone gets hurt.

Tip of the day – how to change your mindset
One thing you do have control over is how you interpret and respond to life’s curveballs. It’s not always easy, though choosing to view challenges as opportunities for growth can shift your entire perspective. Or, if that’s too close to toxic positivity, don’t view it as growth. Simply choose NOT to view it as negative, world ending and without your ability to respond. So, the next time something unexpected throws off your plans, take a deep breath and ask yourself: What can I learn from this? How can I grow from this experience? Often, I ask myself, “how can I keep this ‘shit’ from ruining my day?”
