Protestors disrupt Charlie Kirk vigil, attendees claim they threatened to kill the leader

Our take: Protestors at NYU disrupted a vigil for slain Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk by singing the song Bella Ciao, which the shooter engraved on unspent rounds of ammunition found in the murder weapon. Attendees also claimed the protestors threatened to kill NYU College Republican Club president Ryan Leonard.

People have the right to protest. But just because you have the right to do something does not mean you are right for doing it.

Give it a few weeks, and then you can act like the two douchey assholes you are. Until then, let people mourn. Even soldiers at war declare truces so bodies can be removed and given the proper respect. These people need to check their heads—they have lost touch with their humanity.

Jamie Lee Curtis breaks down in tears over Charlie Kirk murder despite disagreeing with his politics

Our take: Jamie Lee Curtis recently proclaimed that she was so proud that no one could tell the difference between her biological daughter and her transgendered daughter. For what it’s worth, we had zero issue telling them apart in the photo we saw.

The point here is not to denigrate Curtis or her children. The point is that she clearly did not align with Charlie Kirk on several key views. She broke down in tears, showing empathy for Kirk and his family on Marc Maron’s podcast on Monday.

We generally like Curtis as an actress, do not share many of the political beliefs she has publicly expressed, but have mad respect for her for being a decent human being and showing genuine empathy for someone who suffered a terrible fate.

She did not validate any of Kirk’s positions and did not pour effusive praise on Kirk, which would have been disingenuous coming from her. Good job by Curtis for being a real person and showing leadership for others to follow.

Heidi Klum & her daughter pose in a lingerie ad campaign together

Our take: 52-year-old Heidi Klum is super attractive. Her 21-year-old daughter Leni, is super attractive. Either woman would be an excellent choice to be the face of a lingerie campaign. A mother and daughter side by side in the same lingerie campaign? Hard pass.

Unfortunately, someone at an Italian lingerie brand did not get the memo. Almost any other brand would be fine for the family approach. Cars? Check. Swimwear? You bet! Make up? No brainer. But lingerie? Pretty sure there are laws against that kind of thing in the real world.

Tip of the day for changing habits

 Start making a game plan

Unfortunately, just thinking, “Hmm, I really should change,” isn’t usually enough to do the trick. (We wish!) Instead, whip out a piece of paper or a journal or open an app on your phone and start planning.

Get introspective. Consider the following:

  • What’s your overarching goal?

  • Why do you want to achieve that goal?

  • What small goals can you set to help you get there?

  • What triggers your bad habit? What setbacks might you face?

  • What coping skills do you possess to help you deal with those triggers and setbacks?

  • What support system do you have in place?

  • How will you track both your progress and challenges?

  • How will you know when you’ve succeeded?

You should also choose a start date — and no, it doesn’t have to be New Year’s Day! You can make resolutions any time, not just on January 1.
