An infant kills a cobra by biting it

Our take: I have never been to India, but it seems like it can be a tough place to live. One must be ready to deal with threats like elephants, lions, monsoons, and even cobras in some instances. It looks like Indians may have the genetic makeupto handle these things in their DNA.

An infant in the town of Bettiah, near the Indian/Nepalese border, was playing at home. He encountered a cobra, which bit the infant and coiled around his hands. Since the infant could not use his hands to defend himself, he bit the cobra, killing it on the spot. The infant’s family rushed to his aid, only to find the dead snake wrapped around his hands.

The young boy passed out due to the venomous bite. He was rushed to emergency care, where he received quick treatment and is expected to make a full recovery. It looks like the cobra picked the wrong kid to fuck with. Keep an eye on this young boy in the future. It looks like he can handle himself.

Florida school board weasel apologizes for classless comment celebrating Hulk Hogan’s death

Our take:  If you are looking for evidence that people have gone completely off the rails based on their political views, look no further than this lady in Florida. Sarah Rockwell decided that when Hulk Hogan passed away last week due to heart failure, she needed to make sure the world knew it was good there was “one less MAGA in the world.” We cannot make this shit up.

It's unacceptable for anyone to celebrate anyone else’s death. Ms. Rockwell has an even higher duty than most, as she is the chair of the school board in the Florida county she lives in. FYI—There are millions of MAGA supporters in Florida.

It is her job to represent them and look out for their children’s best interests even if she wishes they were dead. But apparently, she doesn’t really want them dead. She strongly disagreed with some of Hogan’s statements, but she “has never and never will wish harm on anyone regardless of whether they share political views.”

Right. She will just celebrate after they die. Fuck this lady. I hope she is let go from the school board, and she can go work for a democratic lawmaker if it’s so important to her.

San Francisco liberals whine about people reporting them to the same government they love, costing them money

Our take: We don’t always get to see it, but it is satisfying when whiny liberals get impacted by the same ticky-tack codes and ordinances they love to push on others. Such is the case in San Francisco, where a Mission District neighborhood is under siege by a do-gooder who keeps reporting them for blocking the sidewalk when parking in their own driveways.

Neighbors whine they are tired of getting tickets for the offense, and someone keeps calling and reporting it to 3-1-1, the system by which citizens can report on their neighbors for violating city codes and ordinances. The tickets can run over $100, and many residents have received multiple tickets.

These are the same people who would call police during Covid for such atrocities as more than 5 people being at a house, walking on the beach when it was “closed” by Fuhrer Newsom, or not fully wearing their mask when they were shopping for their $18 avocados so they could stay at home and make their avocado toast.

The neighbors say their cars are only blocking a tiny bit of the sidewalk, and they should not be subject to these tickets and the corresponding fines. Sorry, Karen, a rule is a rule. You can use Venmo or Zelle to pay those tickets, and you should be careful not to callously break the law repeatedly. It’s for the greater good. I am sure you understand.

Tip of the day – building resilience and grit

Remind yourself of all the adversity you’ve overcome so far. No one’s life is smooth sailing 100% of the time. You’ve already overcome many obstacles. Remind yourself of your past successes during challenging times. It can help give you the fortitude and motivation to continue.

Quote of the Day
