Woman tries to dox ICE agent, gets herself fired instead

Our take: A woman took it upon herself to make a video telling people where the ICE agent who shot Renee Good lives. Unfortunately for her, people quickly figured out who she was, where she worked, and flooded the business with angry messages about her conduct, and she was dismissed.

Sara Larson is a licensed massage therapist, and apparently a virtue-signaling jerk. Doxing a federal law enforcement agent is a felony. It’s also widely considered a dangerous and unethical thing to do by most of society. Now Ms. Larson will have to find a new place to give handjobs – I mean, massages. Good luck to her.

Federal funding to sanctuary cities and states will end on February 1

Our take:  The federal government has announced that federal funds will not be paid to self-proclaimed sanctuary cities and states, effective February 1st. I’m not a lawyer or a politician, but it sure seems like the federal government should be able to stop sending taxpayer money to cities and states that openly state they will not follow federal immigration laws.

We are either a nation of laws or we are not. I hate paying taxes. Can I just say I’m not paying them and suffer no consequences? It will be very interesting to see how this plays out.

Elon Musk says retirement savings will be “irrelevant” in the next 20 years

Our take:  More than one thing can be true at the same time. Elon Musk is a strange dude. He also seems to be able to see things coming in the future before anyone else is able to. That is why his proclamation is that retirement savings will be “irrelevant” in the next 20 years because of the rise of AI. He says AI will create an “abundance” of resources for everyone. He predicts no scarcity of goods or services, energy, top-notch medical care, and the ability to learn about anything you want.

Musk warns it's not all rainbows and unicorns, though. Your job may become irrelevant, leading to an identity crisis and mental health issues. Either way, it is an interesting hypothesis, and we give it a lot of consideration because of the person making it.
