The article outlines the hypocrisy of tax-and-spend Democrats
Our take: If you have owned real estate in California for more than 20 years, chances are you have seen a massive amount of appreciation. We love that for people because we are both capitalists and freedom lovers. You should be able to do what you want with the gains you realize when you sell your assets.
Democrats see that differently. They think they are entitled to a big chunk of your profits to spend on programs they deem worthy. Unless it’s their assets that are. This article highlights aging California residents (a state that has voted Democrat in every presidential election since 1992) who won’t sell their homes and downsize because they don’t want to pay the taxes on the capital gains they would realize by selling the asset.
I 100% agree with them on this part, but they need to learn the lesson and stop spending money we don’t have on things people don’t need and then moralizing to anyone who disagrees with them. The rich need to pay their fair share? That’s you guys in your million-dollar homes!!! Figure it out, people.

A 20-year-old girl gives her number to a 50-year-old silver fox
Our take: Look – everyone has the right to be with anyone they want. That said, unless both people are over the age of 40, older men (or older women, who do it to a much lesser extent) pursuing people young enough to be their children is fucking creepy. You are at very different stages of life, health, and experience. I like good sex too, but you can’t base a long-term relationship on that one thing. I’ve never been a one-night stand guy. I’m worth more than that, and I think other people are as well.
There is zero chance this guy is your Prince Charming. Once you reach 40, you have enough life experience to judge these types of situations accurately. Until then, stick to your own generation. You can do what you want, but I’m 100% right about this.

Tip of the day – How to develop a growth mindset from Psychology Today
Be realistic. It takes time, sometimes lots of time, to learn a new skill, like learning a new language, learning to play an instrument, or learning how to become a good lawyer. Keeping this in mind can help with a growth mindset.
