U.S. sprinter Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone scorches the track in rainy conditions in a 400m race

Our take: You should go on YouTube and search Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and watch her gutty win in Tokyo in the 400m. Levrone ran the second fastest time ever recorded despite gusty winds and driving rain. It is truly impressive.

We call this out for 2 reasons. First, we appreciate excellence when we see it. This woman running this race is excellence personified. Second, this is a prime example of why we are so vehemently opposed to men participating in women’s sports. The men’s world record in this event is 43.03.

Levrone became just the second woman to break 48 seconds. If she had run against the men, she would have finished a full 30 meters after the fastest man, and we would have been robbed of watching the stellar and gutty race she ran. Congratulations to Levrone on the outstanding achievement!

Many rush to support Jimmy Kimmel after his show was pulled by ABC for offensive comments on Charlie Kirk assassination

Our take: Jimmy Kimmel has been a fixture on late-night television for decades. While we have never found him funny, even dating back to his Man Show days, he has been a golden boy in television for a long time. He has also been a sanctimonious windbag pitching propaganda for the Democrat party.

He went too far for ABC, his employer, when he went on air and lied about the motivations of Charlie Kirk’s assassin. Despite law enforcement releasing communications between the shooter and his boyfriend that clearly showed the shooter's motivation was his hatred for Kirk and his views, Kimmel claimed otherwise. ABC heard from affiliates who carried his show that they would not air it. ABC promptly suspended Kimmel indefinitely. For what it’s worth, Kimmel’s show has been shedding viewers for years, with only hard-left viewers with nothing better to do at 11pm watching these days.

This was a bridge too far for many. They rushed to support Kimmel, decrying the unfairness of the network “censoring” Kimmel and abridging his free speech. Never mind that private companies have zero duty to allow speech that hurts their company or their reputation. It’s only the government that is prevented from setting speech standards.

Oh yeah—the same people supporting Kimmel also celebrated a man getting murdered in front of thousands of people for exercising his right to free speech. I guess losing your job after making hundreds of millions of dollars is a worse fate than having your life snuffed out because a psycho disagreed with you. These people are sick.

Performative men are gaining attention online. Don’t fall for it says the author

Our take: Performative men. These are guys that try to appear more sensitive and feminine to make themselves more attractive to women. They drink matcha lattes. They carry tote bags and have man buns. And they post pictures of their virtue signaling behavior on social media hoping to get laid.

What they don’t know is that most women don’t want a soy boy. They want a man who is strong in his conviction. A man that can change a tire and protect them when they go out on a date. A man who can both chop wood and read bedtime stories to their kids. Not a man who goes purse shopping with them so he can pick up a new handbag. The only clutch they want their man working on is the one in their car.

This is not a new trend. Many a man has faked understanding and compassion in the name of a good time. Most women see right through it and friendzone these guys permanently. If you want to do well with the ladies, we suggest you man up in the truest sense of the word.

Tip of the day for changing habits

How to make a new, desired habit stick

Use these tried-and-true techniques to become a master of your habits:

  • Set your vision. Aiming for drastic change is a common mistake. Start small with your habit changes by setting a goal or plan that is doable, limited, and singular.

  • Apply effort daily, consistently, and purposefully. No matter how tiny the goal, you’ll strive to achieve it with your whole heart. Pursue the habit as if it is the only thing that matters in your life. Yes, it’s important to elevate the new habit to that level.

  • Believe in yourself. You can’t set your vision or truly apply effort if you don’t believe in your ability to change. Anyone can instill new patterns in their life for good. Believing in yourself also comes down to habit — practice being kind and patient with yourself. It will help you commit and show up for yourself confidently and reliably.

  • Fight, fight, fight. Old habits don’t want to die. As you work on changing your habits, old ones will rage and roar. When we slack off with our new habits, the old ones are ready to pounce. To change a habit, you’ll need to consciously fight the part of you that is connected with old patterns. Adopt the right mindset for change by repeating an affirming statement like, “I release the old habit because I prefer the new habit. And this is the new me.”
