Woman obtains all necessary documents to register to vote in less than a week for under $20
Our take: We have all heard the breathless protests that the proposed voter ID laws will disenfranchise millions of people, married women in particular. This married woman decided to test the hypothesis by attempting to secure the 3 documents in question: her birth certificate, social security card, and marriage certificate. She did not currently live in the same place she was born or married, so the process to obtain three documents took five days and less than $20. She added if she had still lived where she was born and married, she would have had those documents the same day.
Soooooo… if it’s not hard to obtain these documents if you don’t have them already, why would people not want to require proof of identification in order for someone to vote in a federal election? I’m sure it has nothing to do with fraud, malfeasance, or other nefarious motives. Nothing to see here. Just get the shot we tried to force everyone to get, vote the way we tell you, and call anyone who disagrees with you a Nazi and everything will be fine.

2 women banned from every bar, pub, nightclub, and hotel in Britain
Our take: These 2 young ladies had a quite a night!!! You must read the article to get the full extent of their escapades that got them banned from all these places. My favorite anecdote is when the hotel manager locked herself in her office to escape the marauding young ladies, one of whom tried to break down the office door with her high heels in hand. Good lord!

Husband tells wife epidural during delivery was an “extra request” and refuses to pay his half
Our take: Oof. This is a bad look for us guys. A couple who has been married for 7 years has always managed finances separately but paid for expenses 50/50. During a prolonged labor, the wife had an epidural. When the bill came, the husband said she was the one “who couldn’t hold out for a few more hours” and that “if she wanted luxury, she should expect to pay for it” when refusing to contribute to the costs.
Yikes! Men – just admit we got the VERY long end of the stick on the whole pregnancy/labor/delivery process and help your wife/girlfriend/baby mama in whatever way you can during pregnancy and childbirth. This ain’t the place to get stingy or selfish. On another note, this is one more reason we are not fans of separate finances for married couples. Put the money in a pot and work together on how you manage it. Why be married if you’re not fully committed to each other emotionally, physically, and financially?

Tip of the day – How to develop a growth mindset from Psychology Today
Cultivate a sense of purpose. Does your life feel like it is purpose-driven? If yes, define for yourself what that purpose encompasses. If you are drawing a blank, ask that your life’s purpose become clear to you. Meditate or contemplate on “purpose” and see what tidbits come through until you feel like you know the essence of your purpose, or perhaps part of it. Then pursue it—that's what'll help you build a growth mindset.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
