Tim Walz's daughter insinuates the investigation of day care fraud was “unethical”

Our take: Some people are too far gone to reason with. Hope Walz, the adult daughter of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, said that You Tuber Nick Shirley was “unethical” for investigating the Somali run day cares now under scrutiny for allegedly scamming taxpayers out of millions of dollars. At least that’s what we think she said. You can read her comments in the link we attached. It’s clear she learned to communicate from her father, because we had a hard time wading through the word salad she threw up in response to the question. I would not hold my breath waiting for the Walz family to cure cancer anytime soon.

Oh yeah – we should ALWAYS investigate government programs for fraud and prosecute those who perpetrate it. We don’t care where they come from. We are tired of committees and hearings and grandstanding leading to no actions or recovery of money. Shut the fuck up and do something about stopping the fraud. This is Democrats and Republicans alike. Both parties are feckless and useless when it comes to delivering results.

Quality Learning Center, one of the main day care centers in the YouTube investigation, closes for good

Our take:  The daycare center that had no children there because they operated from 2 pm to 10 pm and could not spell the word “learning” right on their sign has permanently closed. The center requested closure of its license on January 6th, and the state granted the closure.

This is a good thing, but it cannot stop the investigation. The folks who ran this very obvious scam need to be investigated, and if impropriety is found (hopefully you are reading these words in as sarcastic a tone as possible), they need to be prosecuted. If we don’t start hammering people with years in prison and financial penalties that leave them destitute for years, there is not enough of a deterrent to prevent people from trying to scam these programs.

Better yet—why don’t we get rid of all these programs and start over? Cut services, cut taxes, and start over. Why not cut business taxes but ask businesses to provide some of the basic services needed, like daycare or at-home senior care? It would cost them less than taxes, and you would have people in charge of these programs that are actually paying attention and have a vested interest in controlling the cost?

The private market outperforms the public market in virtually every business/service we can think of. Let’s take yes for an answer and stop this nonsense of government as the solution to problems.

Study shows Wegovy and Mounjaro users regain weight 4 times faster than non-users after they stop taking the shot

Our take: Eat fewer calories than you burn and move around people. That’s the only way to get to and sustain a healthy weight. It sucks, it’s not fun, but it’s the only way. Sorry.

Tip of the day: How to win friends and influence people

Avoid Criticism

Rather than criticizing others, try offering constructive feedback. This means focusing on areas for improvement without attacking the person.

For example, instead of saying, “You didn’t do this right,” try, “I think we could improve this by…”
