Black homeowners in NYC call bullshit on the new “tenant advocate” appointed by Mamdani

Our take: Inexplicably, New York voters elected a socialist to be mayor of New York for at least the next 4 years. He, unsurprisingly, appointed a socialist to a prominent position managing housing policy. His appointee, Cea Weaver, has shared policy gems in her past, such as “property ownership is a weapon of white supremacy” and should be abolished. The sane and rational Black homeowners in at least one neighborhood said, “What are you talking about, Willis? ”

These homeowners correctly credit property ownership as key to the stability and wealth generation in their families, with no clue what this lady is talking about. Ms. Weaver received a classical liberal education at Bryn Mawr and NYU, which tragically does not take real-world situations into consideration.

Here in the real world, buying appreciating assets that can be used to raise families in and then passed on to those families is a tried-and-true strategy for wealth building, regardless of the amount of melanin your skin has. Good for these folks for showing their intelligence and experience and calling this idiot out for her racist and terrible ideas, which have failed literally every single time they have been implemented.

ICE agents break the window and drag a man out of a car in Minnesota

Our take:  We included this article for its absurdity. This headline could have been “Sun rises in East” or “Water is wet.” ICE is a law enforcement agency. When law enforcement agencies have to apprehend suspects who resist, they use force commensurate with the force they encounter from the people resisting.

If you won’t get out of your car when they tell you to, they will break the window and drag you out. When you fight back when they are trying to apprehend you, they will use force to subdue you. If you use life-threatening force against them, they will shoot you dead. We literally pay them to do this.

When law enforcement gives you an order, follow the order. If you think it’s wrong, fight in court later. Stop resisting and interfering, or more people are going to wind up dead. We don’t want more people to die, and we are tired of watching you act like petulant children.

You’re not tough, and the only reason many of you still have all your teeth is because the brave men and women in our law enforcement agencies have shown incredible restraint, and in our opinion, given these people way more grace than they deserve. Anyone interfering or resisting should be detained and charged with every crime they committed. That is the best way to bring all this nonsense to an end.

Man shot execution-style by a random stranger while doing yardwork

Our take:  A Florida man was shot execution-style by a man he did not know while weeding and gardening. The senseless act took place last Wednesday, with police first receiving a call about a “strange man” in the neighborhood fiddling with a gun, followed soon after by a call reporting the shooting.

This is a terrible story, and we feel for the family and loved ones of the slain man. We are also saving this article to pull out the next time our wife tells us we need to go out and do yardwork.
