Half of House Democrats join Republicans to shoot down sham impeachment bid by AOC
Our take: In a rare sign of common sense, 148 Democrats voted against a proposed bid by AOC to launch impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump for bombing Iranian nuclear weapons sites.
On Monday, the US destroyed 3 sites in Iran with surgical bombing attacks, utilizing B-2s that literally flew across the globe to perform the mission.
The US did not declare war on Iran, and when asked about possible US involvement in regime change, Trump said it was not a part of their plan. Trump did what he thought was necessary to protect the country and its citizens.
Outside hardcore Trump haters, most people seem to approve of the action. AOC is misreading the room on this one, and the Democrats who decided to cross the aisle will likely be rewarded for their decision in future elections.

Former NBC host and Biden apologist Chuck Todd feigns shock about Biden’s “family man” persona
Our take: This one is rich. Chuck Todd recently left NBC as the anchor for Meet the Press. During his tenure there, he spent 4 years licking Joe Biden’s boots, parroting everything the White House said as the gospel, and attacking anyone who dared to question anything about the President.
Fast forward to today, and Chuck Todd seems to have found religion. In a conversation with fellow hypocrite Jake Tapper, Todd expressed shock that Biden may not have actually been the “family man” he presented to the media and the rest of the world for the past 40 years. Uh-huh. Thanks, Chuck—why don’t you have a seat and let the adults talk?
This reminds us of a joke. A drunk man stumbles out of a bar with his car key in his hand, extended like he was going to unlock the door. A cop sees him and asks him what he is doing. The man says he is looking for his car, but it looks like it has been stolen. The cop then motions to the man’s pants, where his member is hanging out the zipper. The man says to the cop, “The son of a bitch stole my wife too.”

WNBA announcer apologizes for calling America “great” when colleague refuses to speak after statement
Our take: Some people cannot get out of their own way. Exhibit 1 is the WNBA. For over 2 decades, the league has been mired in irrelevancy. The product is boring, the players are whiny, entitled jerks, and the league continues to lose tens of millions of dollars every year. The NBA and some of the owners and investors have subsidized the league to the tune of over $200 million in losses for the past 25 years.
Last year, Caitlin Clark came along with an exciting style of play that attracted hundreds of thousands of new viewers and big jumps in attendance and revenue. The league allows her to be attacked and physically molested by inferior players, as well as leaving her to singlehandedly deal with issues of race simply because she is white. Never mind that her brand of basketball is unlike anything the league has ever seen.
The cherry on the sundae comes from former player turned announcer Rebecca Lobo. During a Sunday broadcast during a light-hearted back-and-forth with her colleagues, Lobo committed the grave sin of stating, “That’s what makes America great.” His quip was met with several seconds of silence until she said she wanted to “rephrase” her comment, to which her colleague coldly agreed. The implication here is because Donald Trump wants to “make America great again,” any use of the phrase in any context is like screaming “Voldemort” in the lunchroom at Hogwarts.
Thanks, ladies. There are many reasons we all think your league is trash. You don’t need to work so hard to convince us we are right.

Tip of the Day - handling difficult conversations
Try to schedule the conversation ahead of time. If possible, ask the person if they are available to speak at a certain time. This way, you can prepare what you are going to say ahead of time. If you need to, write out what you want to say! There is no shame in needing to use a notecard or piece of paper to collect yourself during the conversation.
