A woman was killed by a lion after rolling her window down to take a picture during a safari
Our take: A woman on safari rolled down her window to take a picture of a lion resting on the ground by her car. The lion promptly jumped through the window and mauled her to death. While it is sad this woman lost her life, it’s a bit difficult to understand why someone would roll down their window just feet from a predator known for its ferociousness. Let this be a lesson – windows up on safari, people!

Man was let out without bail after assault, then assaulted the same woman an hour after release
Our take: A man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman by hitting her in the face and biting her hand. He was released on his own recognizance (no bail required) and told not to do it again. He allegedly promptly went to the woman’s house and assaulted her again. Well done, Maryland!
We lock people up for years for smoking plants, but let violent criminals out if they promise not to do it again. Unbelievable. Our criminal justice system needs a serious revamp so we stop incarcerating people who are not dangerous to society and apprehend and rehabilitate those who are.

Judge rules Congresswoman accused of assault must face charges
Our take: Congresswoman LaMonica McIver fucked around, and now she is finding out. McIver pulled a political stunt and tried to interfere with ICE agents under the guise of “congressional oversight” at an ICE facility in New Jersey. Video shows the congresswoman interfering with ICE agents arresting suspects and assaulting personnel in an attempt to enter the facility without authorization. She was arrested on site and charged with assault.
Her lawyers tried to say McIver was protected because she was “performing her duties” as a congresswoman. The judge said no dice; your girl needs to go to trial and answer for her actions. It shouldn’t be hard for her to prove she is innocent if her story is legit. Unfortunately for McIver, there were a lot of cameras because she and her colleagues let the press know they were going to the facility so they could look like they were tough.
McIver would be wise to strike a deal or buy accessories that look appropriate with an orange jumpsuit. She clearly did what she is accused of, and she should be held accountable. It’s time for this nonsense of people interfering with law enforcement officers in the line of duty to stop. What better example could be used to show this than to prosecute a knucklehead congresswoman looking to further her political career?

Tip of the day for learning not to care what other people think about you
Stop trying to be “normal” and fit in. If you want to live a fulfilling life that you can look back on without any major regrets, you have to get out of your comfort zone and start living. You have to break out of this mental prison.
The best way to break out of this mental prison is to follow a unique and important purpose. When you live life this way, on your terms, you’ll find that people want to conform to your standards rather than try to get you to fit in with theirs.
