2 largest teachers unions have moved over $40 million to left-wing groups in the last 3 years

Our take:  Everyone has biases, the esteemed author of this newsletter included. As a person putting things out into the world with the hopes of influencing people to think for themselves, we think it is paramount to acknowledge and either call out or admit to these biases when they exist.

The shameless leaders of the largest teachers’ unions have gaslit the American public for decades that they are non-partisan as it relates to politics. This is as disingenuous as the “just-the-tip” promises made in the back seats of cars on prom nights.

Defending Ed, a right-wing watchdog group poured over the financial records of the two largest teachers’ unions and found that $43.5 million had been funneled to left-wing political action committees, as well as other entities such as D.C. think tanks.

If you want the details, read the article. If you want the highlights, just know that you are not imagining things if you think your kids are being indoctrinated.

For what it’s worth, we are firmly against pushing any political agenda in public schools. We would be just as outraged if these unions were funneling money to Turning Point USA, The Daily Wire, or some other right-leaning group. Kids should be educated on how to think, not what to think. They should decide what to think on their own.

Woman comes back from vacation to find out neighbor borrowed patio furniture without asking

Our take: A woman came back from vacation to find that her neighbor had borrowed her patio furniture without asking or even leaving a note. The neighbor had a Sunday BBQ and thought the poster would not mind if she borrowed it. The poster returned Monday to find the patio furniture still in her neighbor’s yard, and the neighbor’s teenage son and his friends chilling out on said furniture.

What the hell? What on earth made the neighbor think it was OK to grab the patio furniture from this lady’s yard? Unless they have a relationship where they are wife-swapping or performing murders on each other’s behalf, this is way out of bounds. Also, why the fuck was the furniture still in the neighbor’s yard on Monday if the BBQ happened Sunday? Boundaries, people—boundaries.

Walgreens shopper whines about greeting cards made for black customers

Our take: Let’s get this straight, people. If a store offers products you are not interested in, you can simply not buy them or stop shopping there. Not good enough for this right-wing snowflake who was offended because Walgreens dared to offer cards for Black people.

The man was browsing for cards and noticed there was a section called Hallmark Mahogany. These have been around since the 1980s, filling a need for Black customers who want to send a card to friends and family. This guy decided he needed to be offended, whipped out his phone, clutched his pearls, and asked if anyone else “thinks this is whack.?”

Uh-no, you virtue-signaling douchebag, it’s called commerce. It may shock you to know that people of all ethnicities send cards, letters, and all sorts of other communications to their loved ones, and they like it when those cards reflect their culture and their values. Maybe just buy your card and move on instead of trying to create a controversy where none exists. We would be very surprised if this guy doesn’t sit down to pee.

Tip of the day

We spend so much time glued to our cell phones that we never take any big risks to become successful people. Sure, everyone makes mistakes. But have you ever tried to push boundaries to see what's in store for you? Life is meant to be lived, out there in the world, with other people around you. Your success and happiness aren't hiding on your couch under a blanket, where you hide away from the world. You don't need to start a business, but do plan something for your future that gets you closer to living the reality you want instead of the fantasy you always dream about.
