Airline passenger refuses to move unless passengers behind her let her daughter through

Our take: A woman refused to get off the plane unless the people behind her moved to let the woman’s daughter through. I guess it didn’t occur to the woman to simply wait in her seat until her daughter got off. The real headline here is—shocker—this occurred on Frontier Airlines. If you fly Frontier, be prepared for the lowest common denominator in human behavior. It’s the K-Mart of the skies.

NFL legend tells Puerto Rican Bad Bunny to “stay in his country” if he doesn’t like the US

Our take:  Eric Dickerson is an NFL legend. He broke records left and right during his career after being drafted from SMU. We are pretty sure he did not major in geography in college.

We are not familiar with Bad Bunny, who is a musician hailing from the US territory of Puerto Rico. Millions love the guy despite (or because of) his stance against the deportation efforts currently underway. Bad Bunny will perform at the 2026 Super Bowl despite earlier stating he would not perform in the US due to the deportation actions. Dickerson disagrees with Mr. Bunny, stating he should “stay in his country.”

It's unfortunate for Mr. Dickerson that Puerto Rico is part of America, and Mr. Bunny is a US citizen. A good rule of thumb for everyone to use: if you plan on making any statement that includes “go back to or stay in your own country,” you should not. It’s rarely smart or well received.

It’s kind of like when your wife starts off a sentence with “First of all.” “First of all” is rarely followed by awesome things like “I’m going to have sex with you all night” or “I made your favorite meal for you to eat while you watch the ball game.”

Bill Burr loses the plot when questioned on why he did a performance in Saudi Arabia after his many rants on income inequality, freedom of speech

Our take: Bill Burr can be funny. From our perspective, he can also be unhinged. He was the latter when pushed on why he, along with several other American comedians, performed in Saudi Arabia. The festival was funded by many people who still believe in honor killings, female castration, and systemic stifling of free speech.

Burr lashed out with a bunch of “what about” scenarios instead of just telling the truth. It was a lot of money, and I make my living performing for money. The rest of his protestations are simply diversions from the truth. I don’t care that Burr and his friends took the money and did the show. It just means I won’t pay any attention to their sanctimonious lectures about how bad things are in America. The truth is, every society has its issues. To pretend the issues don’t exist because you got paid a lot of money is disingenuous.

Tip of the day for falling in love with Boredom

Option 1: Increase your proficiency at the task.

Even tasks that you are good at will feel monotonous some days, so imagine the uphill battle you're fighting if you are constantly trying to do something that you don't feel skilled at. The solution? Learn the basic fundamentals of your task and celebrate the small wins and improvements you make. With our workout example, let’s say you purchase Starting Strength and learn how to do a proper deadlift or bench press. Practicing these new skills in the gym can be fun and making tiny improvements each week builds momentum. It's much easier to fall in love with doing something over and over again if you can look forward to making progress.
