California cop accused of fleecing drivers at traffic stops for cash
Our take: A West Covina cop is accused of stealing from drivers at traffic stops. The office is accused of using its authority to force people into searches and stealing their cash during traffic stops. Jose Garcia is being investigated, with the charges carrying a potential jail time of 4 years.
Yikes. This is like something straight out of a movie, except it’s in West Covina. Make sure you drive the speed limit and wear your seatbelt on the way out of town. The tickets in the WC turn out to be very expensive!

San Francisco City Attorney sues food companies for selling food
Our take: San Francisco city attorney David Chiu has filed a lawsuit against giant food manufacturers, claiming they made and marketed ultra-processed foods and “profited” handsomely from it. Mr. Chiu conveniently ignores the fact that the FDA approves all these items, and multiple government agencies already oversee the food industry, which is rightly one of the most closely monitored industries in the country.
We understand Mr. Chiu wants to run for mayor or some other higher office someday and is literally prostituting himself for media attention, but we would suggest he focus on some of the high-profile crimes that run rampant in San Francisco: drug abuse, carjackings, burglary, and people literally shitting and pissing in the streets. But yeah, thank god Mr.Chiu is fighting the makers of Cheerios and Chicken Pot Pies for their crimes. This is why people and companies are moving to Texas and Florida in record numbers.
