Jill Biden’s top aide pleads the 5th amendment rights in front of the Congressional Oversight Committee

Our take:  We have covered ad nauseam the cognitive decline of former president Biden and the power grab and associated cover-up. Unfortunately for those involved, they are now having to face the consequences of their actions.

Dr. Jill Biden (her doctorate is in education; don’t call her for advice on managing your health) appears to have had a huge role in both running the country and covering up the fact that it was happening. Her top aide may know, but he won’t tell anyone.

Anthony Bernal was a senior advisor to the First Lady. He was subpoenaed to appear in front of the House Oversight Committee to testify on what he knew and when he knew it. The testimony was over quickly, as Bernal pled the 5th amendment to all questions and left.

Joe Rogan challenges Newsom about the COVID record on Shawn Ryan’s podcast

Our take:  Current California governor Gavin Newsom cannot run for the office again due to term limits. It is widely accepted he is gearing up for a presidential run in 2028. As a part of this preparation, Newsom is making the rounds on various podcasts to try and change the perception of him as a far-left liberal. Mr. Newsom seems to forget that most of his remarks and positions have been made very publicly and were recorded for posterity.

Newsom appeared on Shawn Ryan’s podcast this week. Shawn Ryan is friendly with Joe Rogan. Rogan sent in some questions for Ryan to ask Newsom about his draconian handling of the Covid-19pandemic.

Rogan asked, “Who will be held accountable for mandating Covid-19 vaccines for children, which were unnecessary and ineffective, and who will take responsibility for the unprecedented increases in myocarditis and cancer cases among them? "

The question was a two-parter, with Ryan stating that the second half of it was, “Second to that, do you feel any remorse for that draconian decision that was obviously heavily influenced by the pharmaceutical companies’ desire for maximum profit? "

Rogan’s questioning of Newsom and his concern about Newsom’s “ties to big pharma” are likely going to be a fruitful line of attack from Republicans should the governor make it to the general election.

Good luck, Gavin!

CNN data guy laments that Americans are not morons and have not fallen for climate Armageddon claims for the last 25 years

Our take: Going back decades, climate “experts” have warned of the impending end of the world in a variety of ways. The ice caps will melt and the whole world will flood, another ice age will come and we will all freeze to death, acid rain will fall and kill all life, and the ozone will disappear and we will all cook to death. The predictions have been one after another, and they have all been wrong.

Despite all this evidence, CNN data analyst Harry Enten expressed shock and disappointment that Americans remain largely unmoved in their attitude towards climate Armageddon. In the year 2000, 40% of the population answered yes, they were “greatly worried about climate change.” In 2020 that number climbed to 46%. By 2025, it had dropped back to 40%.

For what it’s worth, the climate is self-correcting. Billions of years ago, the planet was a smoke-filled ring of volcanic ash, pyroclastic flow, and toxic gases. It healed itself to the point that it has supported all life forms for millions of years. Even if these predictions had merit (they don’t) and man was irreversibly damaging the climate (we aren’t), the planet would heal itself over time.

This is not to say we should not protect the environment or take common-sense steps to ensure we are doing our part. That said, there is no reason to panic, to take financially devastating actions that have little to no impact on the overall climate, or to acquiesce to the

Tip of the day – changing your mindset

Realize that motivation and willpower are not enough – Most people incorrectly believe that motivation and willpower are all that’s needed to achieve their goals. But we all know that motivation can be hard to maintain no matter how important your goal may be–and that’s when willpower is supposed to kick in.

The latest brain research reveals that willpower is like a gas tank. You start with a full tank, but you deplete your supply each time you use it. Here’s what I mean:

You’re trying to eat healthier, then get to work and find Girl Scout cookies next to the fruit bowl.  What do you do? Tap into your willpower and resist the cookies. Good for you! Then you plan to go to the gym after work but end up staying later to deal with a customer issue. Your willpower is already depleted, and the added stress of not following your original plan doesn’t help. Do you end up going to the gym? You know the answer because it has happened to all of us.

It doesn’t take long to simply give up and abandon our goals when we rely on motivation and willpower to achieve them. They aren’t always enough. That’s why 25% of people give up on a goal after the first week, and 60% quit after the first month.

High achievers understand this reality, which is why step five is simply about recognition … that is, recognizing that achieving your goals isn’t about white knuckling your way to success.

By accepting this fact, you’ll stop mentally punishing yourself for stumbling or failing to stick to your plan–which will leave you emotionally freer to optimistically try again tomorrow!
